SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY 2019

Show and Tell is a chance for our young pupils to show off their “prized possessions”. Keeping this in mind Pre-Primary wing organized show and tell activity on 18th October, Friday at Excellia  School to strengthen the verbal skills and to foster public speaking competency of young minds. The students were given different objects of their choice. They were excited to share their descriptive narration. Thus, this event helped our tiny tots to build their social, emotional and language skills.

Dr. A.P.J ABDUL KALAM’S BIRTHDAY – SPECIAL ASSEMBLY

‘It is very easy to defeat someone but it is very hard to win someone’. The quest to explore about Missile Man of India was ignited today i.e. 15th Oct’2019 as the students of class V of Excellia School organized a special assembly to commemorate the birthday of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. The students expressed their views on Dr. Kalam’s life, achievements & his great works. The students were inspired by the values of dedication, selflessness & sacrifice of A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

International Girl Child Day Celebration 2019

International Girl Child Day is an international observance day declared by the United Nations; it is also called the Day of Girls and the International Day of the girl. Excellia School observed International girl child day by conducting special assembly on 11th October 2019, i.e. Friday. The children recited a poem to serve the theme and presented a speech for the same.

Dussehra Celebration 2019

Mask making is one of the most enjoyable crafts that children can be engaged in. An Inter-House mask making competition was organized on 3rd October’19 at Excellia School. This activity was organized to explore and encourage creativity in children and offer them a platform to show their skills in mask making .It Inspired children to think and work creatively and promoted artistic excellence. Children came up with amazing artwork in mask making.

Excellia School celebrated Dussehra with a lot of fervor and ardor on 4th October’19 .A spectacular act of Ramayana was staged by the senior students of grade VII in which they presented seven verses of Ramayana. The primary objective of the entire show was to convince the students that no matter how intelligent a person is, his pride will be the reason of his collapse. The triumph of virtue over the vice was intimated to the students through a motivational speech by the students of grade VII.

CLASS ACTIVITY 2019 – VIII

“Application is the best way to learn” 

Today, class VIII has performed a group activity under the topic “Force”.

Activity which was performed is ‘Tug of War’ and ‘Playing with Football’. The main objective of this activity is to teach children about the ‘characteristics of force’ ‘how the force can be applied’ and ‘what are the effects of force’.

Children have enjoyed this play-way method of learning and understand the concept of force.

CLASS ACTIVITY MIXED FOR – VII 2019

“Single Pain can save many lives”

Today, Poster Making Activity was conducted in class VII. The topic for Poster making was “BLOOD DONATION”. The activity was conducted in accordance to their chapter ‘Circulatory System’. The objective of this activity was to teach the children about the importance of ‘blood donation’.

Children have learnt that by donating blood many lives can be saved. The have pledged that they’ll encourage people for blood donation and will spread awareness about the importance of this noble work.

EXCURSION TO REGIONAL SCIENCE CENTER 2019

“The Science of today is the technology of Tomorrow.”

The students from classes III to X of Excellia School went to regional science center on 24th of September. They had a wonderful experience. They were shown various scientific wonders of the world under one roof. In which class IIIrd – Vth were shown one of the best discoveries in our scientific world i.e. the Robots. A demonstration was given to them showing how robots work and how they are assembled. Not only they experienced the creation of robots but also understood the advantages of healthy food and disadvantages of unhealthy food which was explained to them in the environment section. Our senior students from class VI – X received a wider knowledge from the Robotics Section as they were not only demonstrated about the assemblance of Robots but also in real practiced how it’s performed. They got to receive a whole lot of knowledge on robots. It was a very inspiring visit for our aspiring scientists and brought knowledge to all our kids.

GREEN DAY CELEBRATION 2019

“Green – The colour of prosperity and harmony.”

Green day is celebrated in an instructive way where children learn about importance of green colour and positive effects it has in our lives in Excellia School on 20th September i.e. Friday. The pre-primary students came to school dressed in pretty green attires and looked eco-friendly. The students were taught the identification and recognition of green fruits, vegetables, leaves and trees. The toddlers also went to field for plantation accompanied by their teachers. Green day was a practical learning experience and was very enjoyable.

WORKSHOP ON FEMININE HEALTH 2019

Excellia School organized a workshop for all the girls from classes V to X about awareness on Menstrual Health and Hygiene on 23rd September 2019 i.e. Monday. The workshop dealt with all the issues faced by girls during adolescence and apprehensions by parents. The topic which was considered a taboo subject till recent past is now highlighted citing female ill health and deaths resulting from lack of awareness. The workshop proved informative to all the girls who gained new insights on the subject.

GRAND PARENTS’ DAY CELEBRATION AT EXCELLIA

“A Salute to our Roots.”

Grandparents’ are the family’s greatest treasure, the founders of our loving legacy, greatest storytellers and the keepers of tradition. To honour them Excellia School celebrated Grandparents’ Day on Friday i.e. 13th September’2019. The programme begins with auspicious ‘Lighting of the Lamp’. It was followed by short and wonderful speech by student of KG. Power-Packed dance performances by the students left the spectators spellbound. Fun games for grandfathers and grandmothers helped them relive their childhood memories. The icing on the cake was the pictures screened of grandparents’ with their grandchildren which was an overwhelming site. Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan felicitated the winners of various games and presented bouquet to the senior most grandparent as a token of gratitude. The success of the event was evident through the joyful smiles of grandparents’ as they were overwhelmed to see their grand children performing for them.

WORKSHOP ON LETTER WRITING FORMAT

In sync with the changing writing techniques, Excellia School organized Letter Writing Format workshop on 4th September 2019 for students from class VI to X. The workshop was conducted for both Hindi and English writing. The students were given handouts post completion of the workshop to help them retain the understandability of the workshop in hard copy.

AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON SWACHHA BHARAT

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a nationwide campaign that aims to clean up the streets, roads and infrastructure of India’s cities, towns and rural. It is the most significant cleanliness campaign that the government has undertaken.

Excellia School conducted a workshop addressing the aforementioned issue on cleanliness on 4th Sep’19 i.e. Wednesday. The students were asked to take initiatives to keep their vicinity and area clean. Every person if undertakes the responsibility to keep the environment clean and healthy to ensure a bright future for the generations to come.

TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION AT EXCELLIA SCHOOL 2019

“A Teacher’s purpose is not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create their own image.”

Excellia School celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2019 with great zeal and gusto. The students kept the preparations a secret affair and surprised the teachers with the host of events that they had prepared for them. Gracing the function was the Chairman of the School Mr. D.S Pathak, Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak & Ma’am Mrs. Shalini Pathak, Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan, General Manager Mr. Shekhar Varshney and Advisor Mr. Praveen Pandey. The children commenced the programme with speech for the occasion followed by a melodious choir presentation. The foot tapping dance number by the girls group which left the teachers asking for more. The students had decided wonderful titles for their teachers which were conferred to them by the Principal. The Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak ushered his words of wisdom highlighting the importance of the day. The Conclusion ceremony was done by felicitating some of the teacher’s by the Chairman for their selfless services and presenting the gifts to all the teachers’.

FIT INDIA MOVEMENT PROGRAMME SHOWCASED IN EXCELLIA SCHOOL

The National Sports Day in India is commended on 29th August every year. This day denotes the birthday of Dhyan Chand, the hockey player who won gold decorations in Olympics for India in the years 1928, 1934 and 1936. He scored more than 400 objectives in his vocation, from 1926 to 1948. Excellia School showcased the Live Telecast of the Programme of Fit India Movement. The colourful programme depicted martial art skills of various states all across India. The performers showcased folk dances from the states of India. The conclusion ceremony was done by the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who first applauded the entire programme in the way it was put up. He also advised that only fit people could lead to fit nation.

TABLE MANNERS – Class Activity (Nur)

No matter where you are at home, work or with friends practicing good manners is important. Table Manners are the rules of etiquette used while eating. The students of Nursery class participated in Dining Etiquette activity at school on 20.08.19 i.e.
Tuesday, where the children practiced correct table setting procedures and etiquette skills that are used during meals. The teachers told the students about various skills to be followed while eating, such as not to talk while eating, holding a fork and
spoon in the correct hands, use of Table Mats and Napkins. This fun-filled activity
really helped the children to learn the basic etiquettes which they enjoyed wholeheartedly.

JANAMASHTMI CELEBRATION PRE-PRIMARY 2019

Janamashtami is a festival that denotes the birth of Lord Krishna. The Students of pre-primary celebrated Janamashtami on 21st Aug, Wednesday at Excellia School. The children came in traditional dresses. Some of the boys came dressed as ‘Krishna’ and some girls came dressed up as ‘Radha’. A video clip was also shown to the children on the life of Lord Krishna to acquaint the children about the Indian Tradition, customs and culture. It conveyed a strong message “Victory of good over evil”.

SCIENCE GROUP ACTIVITY

“Success is a science; if you have the conditions, you get the result.”
Keeping this quote in mind, a group activity is conducted in class VII and VIII. Children participated in the activity with all their efforts, to showcase their knowledge and have presented their modals and charts as a prop. Children enjoyed the review questions and tried to put their best.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT EXCELLIA SCHOOL

The great dream of our freedom fighters, nationalists and revolutionaries was realized on 15th August 1947. It was an epoch making event of great significance which ushered in an era of liberty, self rule and prosperity of our nation. It is a day to remember our bygone patriots who laid down their lives for the freedom of our motherland. Excellia School celebrated Independence Day with great zest and zeal. The sense of patriotism could be seen on everyone’s face. The Celebration began with the showcasing of a documentary movie on Uri: The Surgical Strikes. The students were awestruck post movie screening. Post the movie screening, the programme proceeded forth with the presentation of speech by one of the students followed by patriotic poem and melodious song presentation by the students. The students of Pre-Primary wing prepared tri-coloured bands and also brought tricoloured luncheons to mark the celebrations. The Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak gave a motivating speech to the students highlighting the importance of the day. The students keenly listened to the words presented by him. The conclusion of the celebrations was done by the unfurling of the tricolor by the Principle Mrs. Sonia Vardhan. The students called it a day by receiving sweets and left for home satiated.

Raksha Bandhan Celebration Excellia School 2019

Raksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. To make our toddlers familiarize with the customs and rituals followed on Raksha Bandhan the celebrations were done at Excellia School on 13th August’2019 i.e. Tuesday. Children brought sweets in their lunch box and exchange it. Rakhi making activity was conducted in respective classes. The festival was celebrated by tying rakhis to plants and trees and took a pledge to protect them for a healthy environment naming it “VRIKSHABANDHAN”. This helped the students to nurture a healthy relationship amongst all.

CELLPHONE ETIQUETTE – Class Activity (Nur)

Cell phones are great as they keep us in touch with friends and family and can be lifesavers in an emergency. So keeping this in mind, our little Excellians of class Nursery conducted an activity based on telephone etiquettes at Excellia School on 6-8-19 i.e. Tuesday in which they learned that they should be polite and soft on the telephone and they also learned that how they should introduce themselves to the person on the phone. The activity ended with great fun and excitement.

PLANTATION DRIVE

“Trees represent beautiful and resilient life. Trees symbolize an exquisite nature at its best”
If we imagine a world without trees, life is impossible. They are true friends of humanity. Therefore we should save trees and honor them in order to save the environment and life. A tree plantation drive was observed at Excellia School on 9th August 2019. The main aim of this drive was to spread and create awareness to protect the environment from degrading. The plantation started with an influential speech on the effects of trees in our lives. The students planted saplings on the school campus. The Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan ensured that each sapling was planted carefully and would we nurtured tenderly.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON BAKRID

Bakrid is an annual festival celebrated by the Muslim community. It is also called a festival of sacrifice because it honors the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God’s command. Muslims celebrates this festival by offering special prayers, greetings, and gifts. To mark the festival special assembly was conducted on 09-8-19 i.e. Friday, in which our students spoke about the importance of Bakrid and reason why it’s celebrated. They also stated the important practices like distribution of meat among relatives and chanting the takbir.
