Every act of conscious learning requires the willingness to suffer an injury to one’s self-esteem. That is why young children before they are aware of their own self-importance learn so easily. Debating helps you to develop essential critical thinking skills the ability to make reasoned and well thought out arguments in addition to questioning the evidence behind a particular instance or conclusion. Excellia School organized Inter-House debate competition on 3 rd Aug’19 i.e. Saturday wherein the students from class V to X expressed their views about the given titles & brought out their hidden aptitude.
The winners were given certificates for putting forth their best views in front of everyone.

JUST A MINUTE
“Take care of your minutes and the hours will take care of themselves”. Just A Minute (JAM) activity is an all-round fun event that is all about the control of mind over the mouth. The just a minute competition tests student’s creativity, presence of mind and command over language all within a span of one minute. The Inter-House JAM Competition was organized at Excellia School on 3/8/19 wherein the participants of all the four houses from Grade I to IV displayed their oratory skills and spoke empathetically on the allotted topics. This JAM session provided a platform for the students to showcase their talent and expertise in an impromptu speech.
International Tiger Day 2019
Global tiger day often called International Tiger Day is an annual celebration to raise awareness for tiger conservation, held annually on 29th July. Students of Excellia School also celebrated this day by taking part in a painting competition. The goal for the day is to promote a global system for protecting the natural habitats of tigers and to raise public awareness and support for tiger conservation issue.

The students of Excellia School had the best time watching The Lion King at PVR Phoenix on 31st July 2019. The time taken out for the movie screening was to motivate the students to present their best in academics post which fruits in the form of rewards would gradually follow. The Principal wished the children all the wishes to enjoy the movie and derive the central theme with great understanding.
G.K WORKSHOP
General knowledge narrows our sense of perceiving the world, understands and analyzes the situations better as one would without proper knowledge. Our students attended a workshop of G.K workshop which was taken by Mr. Vinaypreet. Students learned many new things and gained valuable knowledge.
KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS
Kargil Vijay Diwas, named after the successful operation Vijay, is celebrated in India on 26th July. Keeping in mind the victory of India which took place in the year 1999, the students were shown a video clip which commemorated the contributions of the martyrdom of soldiers who fought the conflict poured in on the microblogging site. India celebrates the 20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas to commemorate the victory in the Kargil war.
SKIP COUNTING – NUR
When it comes to number recognition, repetition is the key to success for preschoolers. There is no timeline for children to begin learning to recognize numbers. An activity was conducted for Grade Nursery at Excellia School on 25-7-19 i.e. Thursday on Snakes & Ladders in which each child stood on every number block and spelled the number aloud which enabled them to learn to count and recognize the numbers efficiently.
MIXING OF COLOURS
Colors are the smile of nature. To make our K.G toddlers aware of primary and secondary colors, an activity was conducted at Excellia School on 24-7-19 i.e. Wednesday. The
children learned the concept of primary and secondary colors using poster colors. Their hands were painted in different colors. The children were excited to see the formation of new colors on their palms after rubbing the two primary colors. This helped them to learn and differentiate between primary and secondary colors.
SKIP COUNTING – CLASS I-B
Skip counting is an important concept we should teach our kids at an early age. Keeping this in mind the students of grade I-B conducted an activity on 25-7-19 i.e. Thursday at Excellia School. We had done this activity on Snakes and Ladders which will help to improvise their analytical ability and sense of number pattern.

The Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2019-20 on 24th July was yet again a special occasion where the newly appointed Head Boy Kushagra Jain and the Head Girl Shradha Rathi along with their team of 13 office bearers, were prepared to don the mantle of responsibility and to carry it out with utmost dedication. The chairman of the school Mr.
D.S. Pathak graced the event as the Chief Guest. The ceremony began with the pinning of badges to the office bearers by the Chairman Mr. D.S. Pathak and Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan. The office Bearers took the pledge to keep the school in high esteem and to fulfill their duty with utmost sincerity. The Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan congratulated the
newly elected Office Bearers and hoped that they would perform their duties with utmost diligence.
SKIP COUNTING (class activity)
The students of Grade I was taken out for the Outside Learning Area session i.e. learning beyond the classroom for the concept of Skip Counting by 2’s. The children thoroughly enjoyed the concept and were able to comprehend the same.
WORKSHOP ON COMMUNICABLE DISEASE
One, who maintains cleanliness, keeps away diseases.
Excellia School organized a workshop on communicable diseases on 22/7/19 wherein students from Grade II uptill Grade VIII sat down to attend the workshop in the concept room. The science facilitator Mrs. Deepa Singh addressed specific points as to how diseases spread from person to person, diseases that are caused by germs and also the name of diseases that are catching. The students were acquainted with the fact that good personal hygiene is important for both health and social reasons. They also became aware of the social benefits associated with personal habits that must be considered in order to avoid diseases. Much like charity begins at home, sanitation and hygiene starts with You and Me.
AWARENESS RALLY ON COMMUNICABLE DISEASE
The Government has taken an initiative to aware the people about communicable diseases and thus carries out campaigns citing the same agenda in one form or the other. Extending support to the same initiative Excellia School organized an awareness parade related to communicable Diseases (संचारीरोग) in the Omaxe locality on 20th July’19. Students displayed charts & amp; placards depicting ways and means to avoid diseases. The Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan flagged of the rally and briefed the students about the relevance of hygiene to ward off diseases.
EXCELLIA IDOL
Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. Excellia School organized Excellian Idol on 20th July’19. The students sang
mellifluent songs of their choice. The Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan applauded the children’s zeal with which they sang and motivated everyone to come up with more participation. The judgment was done on specific parameters and the winners were felicitated with the certificates
Yellow Day
Shades of yellow stimulate our little ones. Yellow is the color of Sunshine, hope,
happiness, freshness, positivity, intellect and joy. To make our little excellent
aware of the yellow color “Yellow Day” was celebrated at Excellia School on 19-
7-19 i.e. Friday. To develop fine motor skills our toddlers did various activities like
paper tearing, ladyfinger printing and hand printing on various yellow objects with
great enthusiasm. They also brought yellow snacks in their lunch and thoroughly
enjoyed their day.
संचारीरोग (communicable diseases)
Keeping in mind the most important and conducive time of the day, which is the
morning assembly, the students were briefed about a very serious problem
prevailing in today’s time, i.e. संचारीरोग (communicable diseases). The students were
told about the serious case which took place in Bihar as many students died due to
this infectious disease named as ‘दिमागी बुखार’. The students were made aware of
the harmful effects of the disease which spreads from person to another. Also, the
students were given a few tips to be taken care of by which they can keep themselves
safe from getting infected.
Guru Purnima 2019
“Where there is a Guru there is grace”.
Excellia School celebrated the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima within the school premises. Inspiring quotes and speech were presented by the students of grade IV-B in the morning assembly to render their tribute to teachers. The children extended their appreciation towards their teachers.

INFORMAL RACES 2019
“Get going…….walk if you have to, but finish the race”.

The tiny tots of Excellia School participated enthusiastically in the informal races
held on 12/7/19. The children were divided into three groups of P.G, Nursery and
KG. The blooming buds of P.G class participated in the 30-meter sprint race and
gave their best. The shining stars of grade Nursery participated in ring balancing
race into which they had to keep the rings balanced on their heads and move till the
finishing line. Last but not the least the developing roots of KG class did the
shuttle race. The children thoroughly enjoyed their races and were thrilled with
joy. The objective of the race to infuse the sportsman spirit was thus achieved.
Taare Zameen Par – The Baby Show
“It’s a good thing babies don’t give you a lot of time to think. You fall in love with
them and when you realize how much they love you back, life is very simple”.

Excellia School Organized a fun-filled baby show – “Taare Zameen Par” on 13th
July 2019 i.e. Saturday which showcased the hidden talents and antics of the
children. The throng of Parents and Tiny-Tots participated in the show. Kids from age-
group 2 years to 6.5 years enthusiastically participated in the show. Fancy Dress
The event saw the toddlers sashaying down the ramp in their beautiful attires. Even the
mothers left no stone unturned while walking down the ramp with their kids in
Baby Rampwalk with Moms. There were many exciting and fun-loving
competitions for the babies at the show like dance, story-telling, rhyme, and
singing. Children who participated were given the titles of Most Energetic Baby,
Best Dressed Baby, Confident Baby, etc. Gifts and Certificates were given to the
winners by Principal Ms. Sonia Vardhan and Special Guest Ms. Shalini Pathak.
WORKSHOP ON FIRE SAFETY
Fire drills are a very important step towards creating awareness
regarding fire safety, and to also provide students with a clear
idea regarding what actions to take in case the fire breaks out in
school premises. The students and staff of Excellia School were
acquainted with the fire drill on 10th July’19 i.e. Wednesday in
the school. Children have explained in detail the various
initiatives they need to take in case of fire followed by the
important emergency numbers which need to be dialed for the
same. A demo was given by the Fire Officer. Wherein the students
were taught how to use the fire extinguisher in case of
an emergency. The students even tried to extinguish the fire using a
fire extinguisher. Children were able to analyze the fact that fire
safety keeps people safe from any mishappening.
Brain ‘O’ Brain Event

Keeping in sync to the aforesaid words, Brain ‘O’ Brain activity was organized in Excellia School on 7th July’19 to acquaint the parents about creative advance skill, development skills for their children which can prove fruitful for them in their lives. Learning is a lifelong process which can be enhanced by the ability to do multitasking effortlessly. This can be achieved when one is able to concentrate on their aim and strive tirelessly. The parents were highly influenced by the presentation which was followed by drawing competition for the children. The children made beautiful paintings which looked immensely colorful and vibrant. The conclusion of the program was done by Magic Show that was enjoyed by everyone followed by Prize distribution to the winners by the School’s Principal Mrs. Sonia
Vardhan.
Class Activity Excellia School – 2019
Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; a holistic approach to health and well – being. Keeping this in mind Yoga activity was conducted in our pre-primary section at Excellia School on 2-7-19 i.e. Tuesday with great enthusiasm. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students performed various asanas, importance of these were explained to the kids. Regular practice of yoga will surely help our kids achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well.

To ensure that a healthy mind resides inside a healthy body, Excellia School organized Yoga and Meditation camp in association with VAYS in the school from 12th June 2019 till 21st June 2019. The objective of this camp was to benefit the people and acquaint them with various forms of breathing exercises along with yoga asanas so that they reap the benefits all through their lives. The camp was well attended by many people, which was conducted early morning every day for ten days at a stretch. The camp was appreciated by the participants who attended it and also advised that such camps should be organized frequently for the benefits they emit.
CHESS TRAINING CAMP AT EXCELLIA SCHOOL
For chess enthusiasts and amateur players it was a lucrative time when Excellia School organized a chess camp under the steering of Coach Ravi Shankar from 6th June till 13th June 2019 respectively. Mr. Ravi Shankar is the winner of 1st Imperia all India fife rating championship 2014. The children learnt the Art of Attack / Defence, Opening, middle and end game and Plan & Execution of the strategy. Participants were from various schools, DPS, CMS, Unison World School to name a few.
