Education is all about amalgamating studies and leisure together to create an aura of mindfulness. Excellia School organized puppet show for the students on 18/07/2018 therein the puppeteers presented fascinating acts with the puppets which kept the students spellbound. Along with playful activity they also present ate message of moral values for the students. The students had a goal time watching the puppet show. The entire programme was applauded by everyone were given gifts as a token of appreciation from school’s behalf.

Informal Races 2018
The tiny toy also had their share of experience when they showed their gusts and prowess at the races. The toddlers participated with their great zeal. Their teachers were present beside them to witness the event and to motivate them. It was a wonderful sight to see how the young ones showed the spirit of sportsmanship.
Dance Trophy Excellia School 2018
Excellia School added another feather of accolade to it’s hat when one of it’s student Khayati was declared the 1st Winner in Singing and dancing Auditions under 8 to 15 of age group which was conducted by Amit Flims and Entertainment on 25th May 2018.
The Principal Ms. Sonia Vardhan applauded the child and motivated other students as well hone their skills all roundedly.
Cyber Security Workshop Excellia School 2018
The students of Excellia School were acquainted with cyber security and network security through a workshop conducted by IT facilitators Ms Anamika Tripathi on 4th july 2018. The students were explained the concept due to prevailing method of unauthorized access of data and resources. They were briefed about securing their system, phones etc with the help of passwords or login security. The scope of this workshop was to guide the students about securing their information and protected use of technology and prevent any kind of harm that could be caused to them.
Informal Races- Excellia School 2018
Excellia school conducted informal races for the students from classes 1st to IX in which the students took part enthusiastically. The conduction of the sport was done class wise. The Winners were applauded. The Principal Ms Sonia Vardhan witnessed the event and motivated the students with her words of wisdom to culminate. The seeds of sportsmanship and how it helps in grooming the overall personality of the student.
Summer Camp at Excellia School
Excellia School organized summer camp for students up till 13 years of age from 21st to 31st May 2018 respectively. There were varied activities for children to engage in that they chose as per their age and choice. The duration kept for the camp was 2 hours in which for the first hour children chose a sport activity as per their discretion and the latter hour they participated in activities which included: science, mental maths, art/craft, best out of waste, music. For the children from 2.5 years till 7 years the activities included etiquette and mannerisms, maze and puzzles , art/craft, dance and storytelling.
The zeal of the students during summer camp was contained during the concluding ceremony on 31st May. The students stood in their respective cubicles to represent their learning implementations during these ten days at summer camp. The parents were really excited to see their children come up with fruitful learning outcomes. The Principal Ms. Sonia Vardhan took round and asked all the children about the activity they were presenting. The conclusion of the program was done with an enthralling dance performance and distribution of participation certificates and Excellia logo caps with the parents leaving on a happy note and appreciating the entire program.
Students Enjoyed the Movie “Inside Out” 2018
The students should always have a time wherein they break away the monotony and enjoy some leisure time also. Hence the students of Excellia School were shown the movie “Inside Out “ on 16th May,2018 which was on the life of an eleven year old girl adjusting to the humdrums of the life in another city.
The students enjoyed the movie to the core and also understood the values one needs to follow so that adjustment could be made anywhere. The intention of showcasing such movies is to inculcate the life skills in the students to accommodate anywhere and come out with flying colours.

Organ Donation Workshop 2018
Organ donation is a “testimony of love for our neighbor.”-Pope Francis
A workshop on Organ Donation was conducted for the students of Grade I to IX in the Excellia School on the 11th of May,2018 by Mrs. Deepa Singh. In this workshop emphasis was laid on the significance of organ donation in saving lives.
The students were made aware about live donation and Cadaver donations. They were also communicated about organs which can be donated like Heart, Kidney, Lungs,Liver and Eyes(Cornea) .In the session procedures of organ donation were also covered.
The students were explained concept of brain death, Donor Vs Recipient ,Organ Donation Vs Body donation and the reasons for shortage of organ donors in a simplified manner.
The students were inquisitive about the reasons for lesser number of organ donation .They also asked numerous questions on the role play of state government and the steps taken to increase the count of Organ Donation.
The Teacher responded to all their queries with ease and ensured that all their doubts were well answered , thereby making the session more interactive .
The students found the workshop very informative and appreciated the simple tools used for communication . The workshop concluded on a positive note -“Organ Donation is all about giving life to someone”
Mother’s Day Celebration 2018
“Mothers are not the ones that have never struggled they are the ones that never give up despite the struggles.”
Mothers’ day is a special day in a year which is celebrated all over the world, dedicated to all the mothers for their selfless motherhood. Mothers have a special place in the hearts of the children as they play a pivotal role in the lives of the children.
Excellia School celebrated Mothers’ Day in a peculiar way to consecrate the Mothers to feel ordained by their children. The pre-primary students welcomed their mothers with the song “Main kabhi batlata nahi … par andhere se darta hoon main maa…” The music was heart wrenching and made to match the melody of the little voices..Their performances left everyone in amaze and everyone applauded cheerfully for these adorable toddler’s.
The students of class 1st -2nd prepared cards for their mothers and the students from classes 3rd and above prepared hand -made gifts like bracelets , jewellery boxes etc. to make their mothers feel loved.
Fun games were organised for the mothers and children in which they participated with full zest and vigour. The winners were felicitated by the Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan.
It was a day full of zeal and fervour and the performances by the children left an indubitable mark in everyone’s heart. Finally the programme concluded on a happy note with the distribution of snack boxes prepared with love as a token of gratitude to the mothers.
Magic Show 2018

A magic show was organized in the premises of Excellia school on May 9th, 2018.The show was organized by a famous magician Mr. Anurag Mishra from The Times Of India. He performed many tricks which made the students and the teachers watch him in attention and excitement.
The magic wand, the magic words and the distinctive style of magician left everyone mesmerized and spell bound. The students found the repeat chanting of magic words by the magician very interesting.
Amazing acts were performed by the magician .Notable amongst them were tearing of a paper and uniting all the torn pieces as if it was never torn, sending Ishu to Dubai and milk trick.
The students and the teachers kept guessing as to how the tricks were performed and kept on clapping .
The Principal, Ms. Sonia Vardhan thanked Mr. Anurag Mishra for making the morning really magical and entertaining.
The magic show was a great success and a welcome change for the students from the routine classroom situation .The students thoroughly enjoyed the show.
Safety and Security Workshop 2018
Excellia school conducted a workshop on Safety and Security in school premises on May 9th ,2018 for all the students from Grade I to Grade IX .
The salient points covered in the workshop were:
- Safe/ Unsafe touch
- Stranger Safety
- First Aid.
The students understood the concept about the safe/unsafe touch and this was explained to them in a simplified manner with the help of a smart-board presentation. The teachers also asked few students to volunteer and demonstrate examples of good touch and bad touch such as hugging, pushing, slapping, and patting on the shoulder for better clarity on the concept.
The students were made aware as to how to respond appropriately to strangers and what to do if they feel danger like yell loudly to keep themselves safe and have help numbers readily available so as to tell a trusted adult what happened right away.
They were educated, not to speak to or respond to strangers if they offer them sweets or toys without knowing them as these are often luring tactics used by child predators.
In this workshop first aid skills were taught to the students in an informative manner. The basic points of first aid covered were:-
- Sanitization of hands before applying/ consuming any ointment/medicine.
- Cleaning of wound with antiseptic lotions like Dettol/ Savlon.
- In case of a snake bite, prevention of poison circulation through blood by tying a tight bandage above the wound immediately.
- Application of Burnol in case of minor burn and use of blanket to put off fire as per the situation.
The workshop of boys was conducted by Ms. Shivani Singh and girls by Ms. Bhawana Pandey.
The basic purpose of workshop was to help the students handle “not so positive events” in life in a better way so that they do not impact their growth and personality.
The students appreciated friendly and effective communication method deployed in the workshop and said that it had left a lasting impression on them.
World Red Cross Day 2018
Excellians celebrated World Red Cross Day on May 8th,2018 .The Students wore Red Cross symbol as a mark of celebration. Special Assembly was organized by the students of Grade III, wherein specific mention was made for Mr Dunant Henri who made Red Cross Committee and his priceless contribution towards humanity by saving many life.
The students were made aware about the importance of Red Cross Day. They were also educated about the fundamental principles of Red Cross like Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Volunteer Service, Unity and Universality.
Towards the end of the session, the students understood the value of First Aid assistance, at the right time and above all helping mankind. The session was well concluded and was appreciated by the students.
Best out of Waste

In today’s world recycling has a very important place. There are a lot of things around that are labelled as dump. But the irony is that most of the dump collected is useful for others if recycled.
Hence utilizing the best from unwanted things has become a generic necessity of every human’s life. These craft from waste activities can be incorporated into your kid’s childhood to make for a greener future.
Excellia School organized an activity on Best out of Waste on 5th May,2018 to culminate the values saving the environment from degradation. The students took part enthusiastically and made wonderful crafts from the discarded materials.
Pool Party 2018
All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.

Excellia School organized a Pool Party on May 4th, 2018 which proved to be a great success with enthusiastic participation by the students. The vibrant costumes with poppy sunglasses and beach hats gave a casual and breezy vibe to the party. Little girls flaunted their beaded jewellery with utmost grace and innocence. Each child took immense pleasure being a part of this unique and fun party with the music playing at the poolside which was concluded on a happy note with the students enjoying fruit beverages that were given to them so that they could savour the most of their special pool bash.
Dance Class 2018
“Dance is the hidden language of the soul of the body”
The students had a gala time during the dance workshop conducted for them .The workshop was conducted by Mr. Rahul who is a trained dance instructor.
The students were told about main dance forms that were Breaking ,Nocking and Popping. They were also acquainted with the main crew who started Hip- Hop that were the Rock Study, New York City Breakers and the Lockers.
The workshop concluded with an emphasis on expression , energy , co-ordination ,full stepping and beat sense.
Labour Day Celebration 2018
“All Labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence”- Martin Luther King Jr.
Labour Day is celebrated all over the world to honour the hard work done by the labourers as well as to honour those who went out of their way to fight for the rights of the labourers. Excellia School celebrated labours day in its own unique way with the students dedicating a song and a dance performance to all the support staff members of the school.
The director Mr. Asheesh Pathak marked his presence to uplift the morale of the supporting staff. There were games organized for them and the winners were awarded accordingly.
The General Manager Mr.Shekhar Varshney and the Principal Ms. Sonia Vardhan felicitated the supporting employees of the school as a token of appreciation for their righteous services for the school.
Poster Making 2018
To develop the intricate sensitivities and deep moral values towards the nature and our Mother Earth, Excellia School organized Inter House Poster/Collage making Competition from Classes I to IX . The students participated enthusiastically and prepared beautiful collages and picturesque posters on the theme Earth Day depicting the condition of the Earth if the natural resources are hampered.”
Rendezvous with Grandmaster Praveen Thipsay
Excellia school overwhelmingly welcomed Chess Grandmaster Mr. Praveen Thipsay to the school. The students were enthralled to have a rendezvous with him. They were excited to ask him questions about his journey, his passion for chess etc. Mr. Thipsay answered all their queries with poise and ease. Thereafter , he played chess with 20 selected players simultaneously. It was a nerve wrenching match and A. Vamsi Krishna who was one of the contestants , was able to win his game against Mr. Thipsay.
The school Vice Chairperson Mrs. Manju Pathak, The Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak and The Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan presented a memento to Mr. Thipsay as a token of gratitude for taking his precious time out and playing with the participants.
Opulent Conclusion of Smt. A.D Pathak memorial open Excellia Chess Championship
The second and the final day of the two day chess championship held at Excellia School saw a gush of emotions as the participants were eagerly waiting for the declaration of the result. Pawan Bathm bagged the Championship trophy outnumbering other candidates by scoring 6.5 points. Medhansh Saxena , Ravi Shankar and Raghvanshu Mishra scored 6 points each with the tie break points declaring Medhansh as first runner up , Ravi Shankar second runner up and Raghvanshu third runner up respectively. Rama Shankar and Skand Tripathi scored equal points with 5.5 each however going by the tie break Rama Shankar bagged fifth and Skand sixth position respectively. In the school team category DPS, Eldeco bagged the winning trophy with Excellia School at the second position and Stella Marris College at third position. Medhansh Saxena, Divyansh Pandey, Suryansh Singh and Rishabh Yadav were the position holders from Excellia School. The segregation of winners was done as per their particular age groups, open categories and school teams. The School Chairperson Mr. D.S.Pathak, Vice-Chairperson Ms. Manju Pathak, The Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak and The Principal Ms. Sonia Vardhan felicitated the winners. The program was concluded with the Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak presenting a thanks giving speech for concluding the event in a sumptuous manner.
Story Telling
Children have an innate love for stories. Stories create magic and teach us about life. A big advantage of listening to stories is that it enhances a child’s vocabulary and imagination. Excellia school (pre-primary) organized an activity of “Story- Telling” on 20th April,2018 which was based on the theme ”Balloon Story”. Balloons of different colour were used as props. Different scenes of the story along with their captions were pasted on the balloons in sequential order. Along with the props voice –modulation was also used by the pre- primary teachers.
The kids were very happy and delighted to listen to the story as they were creating their new world by imagination. They enjoyed the session to the core and wanted to have more of it.
World Heritage Day
World Heritage Day is celebrated to protect and preserve the valuable monuments. This special day offers an opportunity to raise the public awareness about the diversity of cultural heritage and the efforts that are required to protect and conserve it, as well as draw attention to its vulnerability.
A special assembly was conducted by Excellians on 17th April, 2018 to make the students aware and esteem our national Heritage.
Smt. A.D Pathak Memorial Open Excellia Chess Championship
Excellia School hosted Smt. AD Pathak Memorial Open Excellia Chess Championship in its school premises opening of which was on 21st April 2018. The two day championship was inaugurated by Mr. D.S. Pathak, the school chairman by paying tribute to Late Smt. A.D Pathak in whose name the championship has been dedicated. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chairman Mr D.S Pathak, The Director Mr. Ashish Pathak & Mrs. Shalini Pathak and the Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan which was succeeded by Rishika Bhattacharya and Shradha Yadav making the first moves to flag off the event. The event saw a throng of parents with enthusiastic participants settling to start with their games.

Championship were unveiled on Wednesday at Excellia School by the
Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak ,Mrs. Shalini Pathak and the Principal Mrs
.Sonia Vardhan. The unveiling saw the presence of the teachers , the
staff and the coaches from Excellia Sports Academy marking from
taekwondo coach Mr Faizal Khan, chess coach Mr Ravi Shankar, cricket
coach Mr Sonu Prajapathi and table tennis coach Mr Aviral.
The Championship will be held on 21 st and 22 nd April,2018 respectively.
The prize money of Rs 25,100 will be given to the winner along with
trophies under 5 categories like under-7 , under-9 ,under-11 , under-13
and under -15 age groups. There would be 36 other trophies that would
be distributed amongst the winners

The students of Excellia School proved their intellectual prowess at Brain O Brain Championship.
Bertina of class K.G. ,Jewel of Class I and Ishan Singh of class IV won the champions trophy at district level in their particular age group category respectively.
