“Yoga Session for Teachers”

To break the monotony of the teachers and give them fresh lease of energy, a rejuvenating yoga session was organized for the teachers at Excellia on 28th October, 2023. The session was organized by Patanjali Yog Guru Mr.Ramesh Chandra. The session comprised of various asanas and Pranayama with illustrated demonstrations to help the teachers for the well being and fitness. The teacher’s enjoyed the session to the core. The Principal Mrs Priyanka Dubey expressed her gratitude to Mr.Ramesh Chandra,Mr.Awadesh Pandey and Ms.Anushka Kumari by giving them a sapling.

स्वस्थ मन और स्वस्थ शरीर का व्यक्तित्व के विकास से सीधा संबंध है l” कक्षा 7 के बच्चों ने गतिविधि द्वारा पाठ– “स्वच्छ भारत अभियानके अंतर्गत इस महत्त्वपूर्ण संदेश को ग्रहण किया l

Numbering: New Beginning through Birth Certificates

Students of class III-A/B had  activity which is all about Time and Calendar ,which totally amps up their mental, motor skills, and attention

Students had wonderful learning experience where they actively engaged in making a “Birth certificate “ under the expert guidance of Ms.Swapnil & Ms.Swati .

It’s amazing to see how these hands-on activities can make learning even more effective. 

 

Excellians Soaring High

It was a proud moment for Excellia when one of its students Ansh Khurana bagged Gold & Silver medal in 50 meter Breaststroke & 100 meter Backstroke respectively in East Zone Swimming Competition Under-14 Category of C.B.S.E clusters at Taurian World School, Ranchi, Jharkhand. The Principal Mrs Priyanka Dubey congratulated Ansh and wished him luck for his future endeavors.

बच्चों के लिए हिंदी बोलना जितना आसान है, उतना ही हिंदी व्याकरण को समझना आवश्यक भी है। पाठ वचन एवं सर्वनाम को इस गतिविधि के माध्यम से बच्चों ने अत्यंत रचनात्मक  प्रस्तुति  दी सभी ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया।

Dominance of Lucknow based Indian Para Badminton players in Hangzhou

 

India’s para badminton team has won 21 medals in the Asian Para Games held in Hangzhou, China, out of which 4 gold, 4 silver and 13 medals are included. The special thing is that most of the players have their connection with the City of Nawabs, i.e. Lucknow known for its language and cuisine. The players have honed their skills at the Gaurav Khanna Excellia Badminton Academy located in Excellia School. Before leaving for China, in the ‘Hangzhou ki Udaan’ program organized at Excellia School, Indian para badminton National Coach Mr. Gaurav Khanna had talked about winning 15 medals. Not only did the players accept it, but out of the total 111 medals won by India, 21 medals came from para badminton. Players who have improved their game by staying in Lucknow include Suhas LY,who won men’s singles gold medal in SL-4 category, Pramod Bhagat of SL-3 category, Tarun Bhagat of SL-4 category respectively. All three of them won gold medals in Hangzhou. Suhas and Pramod won the title in men’s singles while Tarun and Nitesh bagged their titles in doubles category

In the men’s doubles of SU-5 category, the silver medal winning pair was Chirag Baretha and Raj Kumar who have been sharpening their skills in Lucknow for a long time. Krishna Nagar won silver medal in men’s singles in SH-6 category. Apart from this, other players who have registered bronze medals in various categories in their account include Mandeep Kaur (SL-3), Sukant Kadam (SL-4), Nithya Sre (SH-6), Rachna Patel (SH-6), Vaishnavi Puneyani (SL-4). These are the players who had honed their skills to reach to a level they are today. Other players who have marked their presence are the ones who bagged medals in Tokyo Paralympics namely Manoj Sarkar, Laxman Awardee Abu Hubeida, Prem Kumar Ale, Shashank Kumar, Amu Mohan, Palak kohli, Santhiya vishwanathan, Gokul Das and Akash Madhavan. 

Lucknow’s Nithya Scored a hat trick of bronze medals

Nithya Sre, student of Grade XII at Excellia School , has won three bronze medals in the Asian Para Games held in Hangzhou , China from 22nd to 28th October respectively. In various parabadminton events, Nithya won a trio of medals in SH-6 category in women’s singles,doubles and mixed doubles. In doubles with Rachna Patel, Nithya reached semi-finals without any pressure, however, after this her hopes could not be fulfilled. Vaishnavi Puneyani, who passed grade XII last year from Excellia School, won the bronze medal in women’s singles of SL-4 category. Vaishnavi’s performance was excellent till she reached semi-finals. 

Holistic Session For Students at Excellia

Yoga is the art of holistic development that attunes our mind and body and today when it comes to the fast paced lifestyle, stress has become an uninvited guest in our lives. To combat this uninvited guest we have to keep our mind and body in sync and for this Yoga come as a savior. Therefore, an enriching session on Yoga was organized for the students at Excellia School on 20th October, 2023 wherein Mr. Ramesh Chandra from Patanjali graced the event as the chief guest. He highlighted on the importance of incorporating Yoga in our daily lives so as to keep ourselves healthy and sound. The Principal Mrs. Priyanka Dubey thanked Mr. Chandra for his invaluable time and conducting the wonderful session for the students.

Excellia Felicitates Kabaddi Players for bagging Gold

“The roar of kabaddi crowd is like music to the player’s ears, pushing them to give their best.”

Kabaddi is one of the oldest games of Indian origin. It is a combative sport which is not meant for weak hearts. Excellia School’s student’s proved their mettle by bagging gold medal at Sports Carnival Kabaddi tournament Mohammadi held in Shahjahapur, UP on 14th and 15th October 2023, respectively. The team’s coach Mr Akash Singh and the players were felicitated by the Principal Mrs Priyanka Dubey and encouraged them to give their best in future tournaments.

Excellians par Excellence

Excellia School has always believed in holistic all round development of students in every facet of life. Academics and co-curricular activities go hand in hand and mastering the skill to acquire both requires great deal of hard work and perseverance. However, Excellians have proved this yet again by bagging runner up trophy in singing competition and second runner up position in Robo Obstacle Race organized at Bhonwal Convent School on 12th October, 2023. The students were congratulated by Principal Mrs Priyanka Dubey  and wished them luck for future endeavors.

Celebrating Early Learning

Class presentation is a unique feature and is a platform to showcase the hidden talents of students.

 It provides every student a chance to exhibit his / her talent in front of Parents, teachers and peers. The students of class Play group and Nursery at Excellia School presented of fascinating performance on 18th October 23 Wednesday. The children presented on English, Hindi, Maths, EVS and Etiquette and mannerism. 

Parents warm accolades  for the educators underscored the collective efforts in fostering  a well -rounded educational experience, reinforcing the crucial role of guidance in the children’s growth and development. Our Principal Mrs.Priyanka dubey warmly acknowleged the the invaluable efforts of teachers, students and parents for their collective commitment towards the school.

Good Touch, Bad Touch

 Understanding Personal Boundaries .

In an effort to educate and protect our students, an interactive session was conducted in class-I A under the expert guidance of  Ms.Swapnil Pathak   to help our students differentiate between good and bad Touches.

We firmly believe that knowledge is power and empowering our students with tools to protect themselves is a crucial part of their education.

Modal Marvels

“Exploring scenarios through creativity and values”

The students of class IV- B were engaged in a Modal verb  activity  under the expert guidance of  Ms.Chandi Kohli wherein groups were assigned scenarios like creating magical worlds, designing dream vacations, illustrating acts of kindness, and depicting superheroes in action. Each group used art, real-life values, and stories to convey their interpretations. This exercise helped students grasp the usage of modal verbs while fostering creativity and emphasizing important values. It was a dynamic and instructive learning experience.

Hangzhou ki Udaan

Excellia School organized a send off program for the para badminton players wishing them all the luck for representing India in Asian Para Games at Hangzhou, China. The team consisting of  Prem Kumar Ale, Shashank Kumar, Abu Hubeida,Manoj Sarkar, Mandeep Kaur, Palak kohli,Chirag Baretha,Raj Kumar, Shanthiya Viswanathan, Nithya Sre Sumathy Sivan, Rachna Shailesh kumar Patel, Sivarajan Solaimalai, Gokul Das, Akash Madhavan led by their national coach Mr. Gaurav Khanna marked their presence wherein they were welcomed by the School’s Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak, Mrs Shalini Pathak, Principal Mrs Priyanka Dubey, General Manager Mr Shekhar Varshney, Head of Sports Academy Mr Praveen Pandey and Inspection Head Mrs. Roli Pandey. Mr. Khanna shared his team’s journey, their unwavering spirit to pave way into the Asian Games. The students listened intently to Mr .Gaurav Khanna and his team members. The students were keen to know about their journey and how they kept themselves motivated through every thick and thin. The players answered all the questions with full zeal to keep up the spirits of the students high and motivated. The Director Mr .Asheesh Pathak and the Principal Mrs Priyanka Dubey presented their good wishes to the players. 

 

“Hindi Swarmala activity”

 The Nursery students had a wonderful learning experience where they actively engaged in making a “Garland Of Swar “ . This interactive activity not only helped them develop their motor skills but also enhanced their mental and cognitive abilities.  It’s amazing to see how these hands-on activities can make learning even more effective . 

Emotional Well Being and Mental Health

According to the National Institutes of Health, emotional well being is important because it can affect how people function and carry out everyday tasks. Difficulties in emotional well being may have a negative effect on a person’s mental and physical health. Excellia School  witnessed an activity on ‘Emotional Well Being and Mental Health’ of the students from grade VI to XII where they were given different situations to think upon and write a paragraph on the same group wise . The children were active participants into this reflective activity and enthusiastically expressed their views.

This activity not only has made them aware of their hidden emotions but also prepared them that, they can themselves take charge of these emotions and navigate them to positive outcomes.

Food We Eat

Good food and nutrition are the foundation of children’s health and bring benefits that can last a lifetime. Teaching our children about healthy food from a young age will help them to have a positive relationship with food well into adulthood. 

Students of class III-B engaged in an activity that explains them about Food Grains ,Pulses, Fruits, Vegetables and spices under the expert guidance of Ms. Swati Gupta. These activities not only educated students about the importance of food but also motivated them to adopt.

Observing International Girl Child Day at Excellia

“You are truly blessed if you have been gifted a girl child because she has the aura to make your heart and home a happy place”

In the eyes of every girl lies the hope for a brighter tomorrow. It is our responsibility to empower them. Excellia School observed this important day by the presentation of a wonderful play presented by the female student’s of senior wing. The theme of the play was educating girl child. The play portrayed the pity condition of a girl child who suffered severe pock marks and a stammered speech which hampered her confidence. It was her teacher who instilled confidence in her by educating her that when she grew up and at the time of her marriage, the groom who was double her age demanded dowry. She saw the miserable condition of her parents and immediately called off the wedding that left everyone in a state of shock. She thanked her teacher for instilling that confidence in her by always believing that a fate of a girl can only be given a right direction through education. It was a beautiful presentation and the students performed exceptionally well while perfectly delivering the central theme of the play.

Students Enrichment session at Excellia School

Dennis Muilenburg famously quoted that,” Aerospace services represent one of our biggest growth opportunities for the future.”

Pressing belief on the above mentioned quote, an interactive session was organized in Excellia School on October 11, 2023 wherein 𝐃𝐫. 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫, 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 graced the event with his benign presence, educating the students about how India finally marked its presence on the moon’s surface. Dr Kumar began his presentation with Chandrayan-1 and finally concluded with the how chandrayan-3 finally crossed moon’s orbit and successfully landed on moon’s surface. The students intently listened to Dr. Kumar. The Director of school integrated program EMCC Mrs Shalini Pathak welcomed Dr Kumar and Organizing Secretary of Vibha Awadh Mr Ashutosh Singh with a welcome bouquet. The Principal presented the memento of thanks to both the dignitaries and thanked them for taking their time out and enlightened the student’s with the wonderful words of wisdom.

Showcasing student’s talent at Excellia School

Class presentation is a unique feature and is a platform to showcase the hidden talent of students.
It provides every student a chance to exhibit his/her talent in front of parents, teachers and peers.
Each child has an artistic talent within him; he only things is to keep that spirit alive. Keeping this in view, class presentation for class V was arranged, which instilled a lot of confidence in each child .
The students of class V at Excellia School presented a fascinating class on 10.10.2023.The presentation was beautifully and enthusiastically anchored by the class students.

The children presented on English, Hindi, Maths, Science, S.ST and Computer subjects using various props. The parents were enthralled to see their children giving presentation with such confidence and zeal.
The Principal Mrs.Priyanka Dubey presented the vote of thanks to all the guardians and parents for sparing their valuable time to witness their wards’ wonderful and engrossing performances.

Noise Pollution Awareness Drill

“Of all the varieties of modern pollution, Noise is the more insidious”

To create an awareness about the honking problems and noise pollution, today the students of Class -5 presented few slogans under the expert guidance of teacher Ms.Runa Das.

Students participated enthusiastically and spoke about the honking problems along with spreading awareness for the same. They pledged to avoid honking unnecessarily.

“Artistic skills at display”

Students of class 3B conducted origami activity under expert guidance of teacher Ms.Shikha Kushwaha ,Children participated in this creative venture with great zeal and high spirits.
The students were amazed to see transformation of a flat sheet square of paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting.
This activity triggered their imagination and enhanced their creative skills.
Origami provided our little ones with wonderful “schematic learning through repeatable actions”.
The students made paper lantern and Japanese fan and related the same with English Literature chapter ” The Lantern and The Fan”. Paper that holds fire and air in it.

Exploring Our Surroundings Together

Group Discussion is a methodology employed in educational settings to encourage a structured and critical exchange of ideas. It is a platform where participants express their views, opinions, and knowledge on a particular topic.
Today students of class 2 A were engaged in Group Discussion Activity under the expert guidance of the teacher Ms.Shikha Kushwaha. They discussed on the topic “Things Around Us” and made small posters.

An Art-Infused journey into Origami

In a captivating fusion of literature and art, our English Literature class (III-A) students embarked on a creative exploration of the Japanese art of paper folding, Origami. This enriching activity, aptly named “The Lantern and The Fan,” breathed life into the pages of our literary chapter while igniting the flames of creativity in our students as they crafted paper fans and lanterns. This activity bridged the realms of literature and art in a memorable and insightful learning experience.

Exploring the World of Transportation

In our engaging session of activity which was held on 3-10-23 (Tuesday) Class 4-B focused on transportation, students delved into the significance of land, air, and water transport modes, shedding light on how they connect the world. With an informative video they created, these young minds beautifully articulated the importance of traffic signals and road safety, emphasizing the crucial role they play in ensuring safe journeys for all. This hands-on learning experience not only broadened their horizons on transportation but also instilled a strong sense of responsibility for road safety in our budding scholars.

Shramdaan:- Swacchata hi seva

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Excellia School observed ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ Campaign wherein the students were taken to a temple in the school vicinity to clean the temple area’s surroundings. The objective to conduct this activity as laid down by the C.B.S.E. Guidelines is to spread the message of cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene. The students enthusiastically participated in the Shramdaan activity and cleaned the temple surroundings properly.
