Saraswati Puja celebration at Excellia School

16th Feb 2021 saw an illuminating morning in the premises of Excellia School with beginning the school functionalities by Saraswati Vandana to seek blessings of Goddess Saraswati to mark Basant Panchami in school . The staff all decked up in yellow attires offered prayers to the Goddess to seek her blessings. The students of class X also offered their prayers to seek enlightened future and good results. The day was filled with positivity and vibrance .

Republic Day Celebration at Excellia School

The auspicious morning of 26th Jan, when the entire nation was celebrating Republic Day, Excellia School also celebrated the propitious day in the school premises. The Principal, teachers and the students didn’t want to leave any stone and unturned in making this monumental day a memorable one. To grace the event as special guests, paralympic badminton players, and Arjuna Awardees Ms. Parul Parmar ,Mr. Rajkumar ,Mr Manoj sarkar , Mr. Pramod Bhagat, Ms. Palak Kohli,Mr.Nilesh Gaikwada,Mr.Prem Kumar Ale, Mr.Abhijeet Sakhuja, Mr. Sukant Kadam, Mr.Krishna Nagar, Mr Abu Hubaida And Mr. Chirag. The chairman Mr. D.S. Pathak along with international Paralympic player  Ms.Amu  Mohan Unfurled the tricolor of the nation. were present. The chairman of the school Mr .D.S .Pathak was the chief guest. He was warmly welcomed by the whole staff led by Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak and Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan . The students from class IX onwards were then taken for a march past post under under strict COVID-19 preventive norms which was succeeded by a patriotic song presented melodiously by the students. After the song presentation the Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak presented his speech and cited out the importance of the day. The day concluded colourfully post chairman Mr. D.S. Pathak unfurling the flag followed by national anthem. The students left on a happy note by eating the sweets to close the day sweetly while rest of the students virtually marked their presence to witness the great day.

CONTINUOUS EFFORT-NOT STRENGTH OR INTELLIGENCE IS THE KEY TO UNLOCKING OUR POTENTIAL

It is an Honour to share that Mr. Abu Hubaida, who is currently at the 18th rank in the world and at the 16th position in the Tokyo paralympic has added one more feather in his cap by receiving the “Lakshman Award” by our honorable chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Aditya Nath.

His remarkable achievement was celebrated at Gaurav Khanna Excellia Badminton Academy (GKEBA) in Excellia School where all the players congratulated him and that became an inspiration for everyone, that no factor can affect the zeal of person towards any interest if you have firm determination in you for it.

It is highly appreciable that Mr. Abu Hubaida has changed his challenge into strengthening his conviction. The parabatminton tournament held in brazil made him come out in flying colours by winning the silver medal in mixed double 2020. Also, he received the silver medal in the para-badminton championship held in Thailand, 2019, and the para-badminton championship held in Dubai, 2018. There is many more achievement which are there which has added on to the glory of his hard work.

He has proved well that inclusion is within everyone’s ability. It is very inspiring to see his high spirits and his devotion to his interest. As overcoming or escaping from any fear is to trample it beneath your feet.

The Students of class V A presented a project on ‘Artificial Satellites” under the guidance of their science teacher. They exhibited their oratory skills by speaking on satellites like – Bhaskara I, INSAT 2E, INSAT 4E, Chandrayaan I and Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM). The students of class V A, under the leadership of Ananya Rashmi and Divyanshi Singh explored the facts on the satellites with great zeal. The young learners thoroughly enjoyed the activity with a vision to explore something more in space.

Excellia’s Shuttlemasters

The 3 day staff badminton tournament “Excellia’s  Shuttlemasters” saw a zealful conclusion on 31stDec’20 with some of the nail biting matches and nerve wrenching twists. The ceremony started with acknowledging and expressing gratitude to Mrs. Gaurav Khanna, Dronacharya Awardee and Head National Coach, proceeded by introduction of the Paralympic players who represent the Nation in World Championships. The event then started with Semifinals match paving way for the final match between facilitators Ms.Divya Tripathi and Mr.Akash Singh with Ms.Tripathi bagging the Championships Trophy. The enthusiastic event came to its conclusion with Director Mr.Asheesh Pathak & Mrs. Shalini Pathak, General Manager Mr.Shekhar Varshney, Principal Mrs.Sonia Vardhan and Advisor Mr.Praveen Pandey cheering up the participants and felicitating the winners.

EXELLIA LAUNCHES ONLINE CLASSES

With Covid-19 pandemic hampering the functionality of the country, each and every citizen of the nation is doing his share of duty to corroborate the best possible measures to regain some normalcy in the lives of people around them. Excellia School in one such measure launched its online teaching classes for the students so that the efficacy of having live teaching sessions and the benefits of passing first-hand information to the students could be delivered in appropriate manner.

We at Excellia School are using Two Platforms for Distance Learning .

Excellia School App , supported by School Knot , is used to share Videos, Assignments, Worksheets, Reading Material , etc. .This helps student to access all the study material at one place with ease.

Collaborating with Microsoft Teams App, the school has yet again marked a milestone and affirmed that quality approach will never be compromised will under any circumstances. The online classes’ pilot launch was done on 16th April 2020, Thursday with teachers delivering lectures to students in live sessions. Taking care of the aspects of teaching the students without sounding monotonous, sports lectures, music sessions and dancing classes have also been implemented in the online curriculum. Congratulating the team on the successful launch of the live session Director Mr Asheesh Pathak and Principal Mrs Sonia Vardhan vowed to keep their share of philanthropy up and running during these crucial times.

Health Camp for Staff 2020

Teachers are the foundation of the school and their well-being is of paramount importance for they have to look after the students and educating them. Thus medical camp was organized for the staff members of Excellia School on 5th March 2020 i.e. Thursday wherein blood test along with various tests was conducted to inform them about their health status. The Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak also underwent the examination along with other employees of the school.

SOF Winners 2020

Excellians have shown an excellent performance in National Science Olympiad in different streams. Nevertheless this could not have been possible without the extravagant efforts put by the students as well as the school facilitators.

Presentations are extremely useful both inside and outside the classroom. It helps to develop vocabulary and speaking skills in the children. They also build confidence. So the tiny –tots of Excellia School had showcased a class presentation on 25th and 27th February. During the presentations students experienced different roles, responsibilities and worked upon different perspectives. The students were very excited to act according to their theme / topics. Few children presented English and Hindi rhymes while some of them narrated a story with its moral. The Eye-catching presentation was the dance performed on various Hindi beats. The aim of the activity was to make the little ones develop confidence and eradicate stage phobia from them. It was a wonderful sight to see them all working together and using their skills and talents with full excitement.

Taare Zameen Par 2020

Excellia School organized ‘Taare Zameen Par’ baby show on 16th February, Sunday. There were many exciting and fun loving competitions for the babies. Children from the age group of 2.5 to 7 years stole the show with their sparkling and lively performances. We believe that every child is unique and talented in his/her own way. It is important to give children a great start so that they can make the best of their abilities now and in the near future. The event concluded by the distribution of certificates to the toddlers for their scintillating performances.

LOHRI CELEBRATION 2020

Lohri is a popular winter Punjabi Folk Festival, celebrated primarily by Punjabis from the Punjab region of the northern part of the Indian subcontinent, on 13th January of every year.

All the students and staff members of Excellia School celebrated the occasion on 13th Jan’2020 by taking Puja Parikrama around the bonfire and distributed the Prasad to each other. While taking the Parikrama around theBonfire the students rendered the popcorns, peanuts along with other sweets with the belief to take out all the negativity from within and thanked god for all the prosperity bestowed to us.

A spirit of good-nature rivalry blinded all of us and we took pride in making the biggest and a grand bonfire.

SANITATION AND HYGIENE (SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAAN) AT EXCELLIA SCHOOL 2019

“Cleanliness will be nationwide, but first you start from your side.”

Today, in class VII, during science period, a collage and model making activity was conducted. The topic of the activity was ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’ / Sanitation and Hygiene. The objective was to teach children, how to improve the levels of cleanliness through solid and liquid waste management activities.

Children analysed that awareness needs to be created more and more to ensure a clean India and Green India.

Star Gazing at Aurora 2019

Excellia School illumined the ambience when the school organized the Annual Concert ‘Aurora’ on 7th December 2019 in its campus. The event saw galaxy of intellectuals marking their presence. Gracing the event as the chief guest was veteran Bollywood actor Mr. Atul Srivastava and his wife Mrs. Suchitra Srivastava. Secretary of Yuva Mahotsav Mr. Mayank Ranjan and his wife Mrs. Chandralata Srivastava also arrived at the function as special guests. The chairman of the school Mr. D.S. Pathak, Vice chairperson Mrs Manju Pathak, Director Mr. Asheesh and Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan being the perfect hosts welcomed the chief guest Mr. Atul Srivastava & his wife and Special Guest Mr.Mayank Ranjan & his wife in the noblest manner.

The theme of the event was NAVRAS which depicts the nine emotional forms. The program commenced by lamp lighting ceremony in reverence of Goddess Saraswati followed by Radha Krishna Dance performance. The impact of the dance performance was such that everyone in the audience could not help from applauding immensely for the students. Proceeding further was the dance performance by the students of Class I followed by dance performance by students of Class Nursery. The students looked adorable dancing at peppy numbers. The gore representation of Halloween performance by the students of Class V made the audience hold breath in horror. Post the performance of the students, Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan presented school report wherein all the achievements of the students was presented. The performances that commenced further represented happiness, sadness, pity, gory in various dance performances and skit presentation left everyone asking for more. The chief Guest Mr Atul Srivastava also presented forth wonderful addressing to the audience that was well applauded by everyone.

Post presentation of cultural events, the school management rendered Felicitation ceremony to honour the chief guest Mr. Atul Srivastava and the special guest Mr. Mayank Ranjan along with their wives for gracing the event.

The Program concluded with the proposal of  Vote of Thanks by the Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan followed by school song and National Anthem.

ART THERAPY WORKSHOP AT EXCELLIA SCHOOL 2019

Teachers acquainted with teaching methods through Art Therapy.

Excellia school had a workshop conducted for its teachers on 9th Dec’19 i.e. Monday  by the founder of  Pink Sun Studio Organization Mrs. Suchitra Srivastava. Ms. Srivastava stressed upon improving the skills of the students through Art Therapy & that the child should be appreciated on every small effort,so that the spirit of motivation further pave way to honing the skills in students. She trained the teachers through various works of colours,crafts and origami. The workshop was attended by school’s vice chairperson  Mrs. Manju Pathak , Principal Mrs.Sonia Vardhan, Mrs. Shalini Pathak along with all the teachers.

Science Crafty Ideas at Excellia School 2019

Education in today’s scenario aims at the holistic development of the children. Pragmatic approach imparts learning by doing and experiencing things. Science exhibitions in schools at different levels are one of the easiest ways to enhance students’ interest in science and technology.

Excellia School organized science crafty ideas on 16th Nov’19 in the school to showcase the creative talents of the students in the field of science and technology. The children displayed various innovative models and circuits. Aarav Singh prepared wonderful hydraulic pump and a mini computer model. Harshit Pathak prepared a mini cooler while Avni Solanki amazed everyone with the robotic spider she made.

The objective to organize such science crafts & exhibitions is to let the students avail the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of others and feel proud of their achievements. The Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan commended on the efforts put in by the students and motivated them to use up their scientific skills towards further such innovations.

EXCURSION TO THE GANGA AQUARIUM 2019

Excellia School understands the importance of fun amalgamated with knowledge can yield fantastic outcomes. Children form the backbone of the nation should be nurtured with love and tender care.

Thus, to commemorate children’s Day, the students were taken to Ganga Aquarium on 15th & 16th November 2019 respectively. The students were enraptured to have a time spent leisurely in playing and watching fishes. The sprawling lawns laiden with Indian gooseberry provided a beautiful view. Children relaxed and had their luncheons in the lawns. The students left happy faced after having memorable time at the Aquarium.

Children’s Day Celebration 2019

Children’s Day is celebrated on 14th November across India, the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He was popular among children and was fondly called Chacha Nehru.

Special assembly was conducted by the teachers for the students. Teacher sang songs, delivered speech on children’s day. Various games were conducted for the students in which the students actively participated and made the day a memorable one. They were very glad to receive the chocolates. The Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan wished all the students on this special day.

Sir Chandrashekhara Venkata Raman (7 Nov 1888 – 21 Nov 1970) was an Indian Physicist born in the former Madras Province in India, who carried out ground-breaking work in the field of light scattering, which earned him the 1930 Nobel Prize for Physics and was the 1st person in Asia to obtain said award for achievements in science. He discovered that when light traverses a transparent material, some of the deflected light changes wave length and amplitude. In the year 1954, the Indian government honored him with India’s highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna.

Special Assembly on Diwali 2019

Lights illuminate every corner of India during Diwali and the scent of incense sticks hang in the air mingling with the sounds of fire – crackers, joy togetherness and hope. The students of class IV-A organized a special assembly on Diwali. The objective of the assembly was to make the students aware of this festival – why & how it is celebrated. The assembly was commenced with a prayer, followed by the reason why we celebrate Diwali, how we celebrate it and keeping in consideration our environment, the students emphasized how to celebrate eco-friendly Diwali.

It really is quite possible to celebrate Diwali in an eco-friendly manner and still get to enjoy one’s self.

DANCING THE WAY TO DIWALI FESTIVITIES 2019

Excellia School organized Intra Class Dance Competition in school on 25th October 2019 to call for a happy beginning of Diwali festivities. The children decked upto their best in ethnic attires and presented their best looks with make upto suit their looks. The children danced on foot tapping numbers which was a feast to look upon. The children sitting in the audience cheered the participants. Gracing the event was the Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan who boosted the moral of the students by her gracious presence. Kinjal Vishwakarma looked beautiful dancing on the song “ Ghoomar”. Shreya and Zoya left everyone gasping on the song “Tu laung main elaichi”. The competition was tough to judge upon by the judges Ms. Runa Das and Ms. Chaitali Dass as every participant had performed scintillatingly. The conclusion of the event saw an enthralling performance by the dance teacher Mr. Rahul who left everyone asking for more. The principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan applauded the participants and felicitated the winners with certificates for their performance.

To bring the change from monotonous learning Class VII students were taken for ‘Nature Walk’ on  22nd October, 2019 to understand the concept of ‘Reproduction in Plants’ during their science period . Children observed different methods of asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction in plants by analyzing different plants,flower, leaves and stems.

After that, they played a match of Kho-Kho to understand the concept of ‘Motion and Rest’ and ‘Types of motion’.
Children have enjoyed their “learning with fun” session and have understand the concepts as well.

World is a Stage for Excellians

Aiming to imbibe experiential learning through fun activities and to make students confident about themselves, Fancy Dress and Ramp Walk Competition was organised for students from class I-IV and V-X respectively at Excellia School on 19th October 2019.  The excellians were decked up in breath taking attires that left everyone gazing them in awe. Students from class I-IV were dressed up like their favourite personalities and walked the aisle looking smart and confident. They presented themselves wonderfully well and spoke up about the character they were portraying. The students from class V-X walked up the aisle and enthralled the students with their impressive attires. Everyone was dressed up to their best.

The Judges for Fancy Dress category Mrs Divya Tripathi and Mrs Subuhi Akhtar found it very difficult to choose the winners as every participant was looking extremely pleasing. Some of the students wore costumes like that of astronauts, some portrayed freedom fighters like Rani Laxmi Bai and Bhagat Singh. Judges of Ramp Walk category Mrs. Deepa Singh and Mrs Geeta Bhakuni were also speechless to see everyone presenting their best foot forward.  However on the basis of the set parameters and criterion winners were declared and were felicitated with the certificates. Hiba Zehra Naqvi of Class II portrayed Dustbin to associate with Prime Minister’s Swachchata Abhiyan. Swetark of class III looked adorable in astronaut’s attire. Ananya Rashmi of Class IV presented the character of Rani Laxmi Bai and left everyone mesmerized with her oration of the character. Likewise all the participants left no stone unturned to present themselves beautifully. The Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan congratulated the winners and motivated the participants for showcasing their talent. She wished everyone well for their future endeavors.

DENGUE AWARENESS 2019

The students of Excellia School were acquainted today i.e. 18th October’19 on the ways and means to prevent mosquito accumulation and thereby preventing diseases that are prevalent these days due to mosquito bites. They were asked to wear comfortable full sleeved clothes and prevent water clogging at places which can become grounds of mosquito breeding. The students understood the message well and promised to implement the ways that were told to them.

SHOW AND TELL ACTIVITY 2019

Show and Tell is a chance for our young pupils to show off their “prized possessions”. Keeping this in mind Pre-Primary wing organized show and tell activity on 18th October, Friday at Excellia  School to strengthen the verbal skills and to foster public speaking competency of young minds. The students were given different objects of their choice. They were excited to share their descriptive narration. Thus, this event helped our tiny tots to build their social, emotional and language skills.
