Dr. A.P.J ABDUL KALAM’S BIRTHDAY – SPECIAL ASSEMBLY

‘It is very easy to defeat someone but it is very hard to win someone’. The quest to explore about Missile Man of India was ignited today i.e. 15th Oct’2019 as the students of class V of Excellia School organized a special assembly to commemorate the birthday of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. The students expressed their views on Dr. Kalam’s life, achievements & his great works. The students were inspired by the values of dedication, selflessness & sacrifice of A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

International Girl Child Day Celebration 2019

International Girl Child Day is an international observance day declared by the United Nations; it is also called the Day of Girls and the International Day of the girl. Excellia School observed International girl child day by conducting special assembly on 11th October 2019, i.e. Friday. The children recited a poem to serve the theme and presented a speech for the same.

Dussehra Celebration 2019

Mask making is one of the most enjoyable crafts that children can be engaged in. An Inter-House mask making competition was organized on 3rd October’19 at Excellia School. This activity was organized to explore and encourage creativity in children and offer them a platform to show their skills in mask making .It Inspired children to think and work creatively and promoted artistic excellence. Children came up with amazing artwork in mask making.

Excellia School celebrated Dussehra with a lot of fervor and ardor on 4th October’19 .A spectacular act of Ramayana was staged by the senior students of grade VII in which they presented seven verses of Ramayana. The primary objective of the entire show was to convince the students that no matter how intelligent a person is, his pride will be the reason of his collapse. The triumph of virtue over the vice was intimated to the students through a motivational speech by the students of grade VII.

CLASS ACTIVITY 2019 – VIII

“Application is the best way to learn” 

Today, class VIII has performed a group activity under the topic “Force”.

Activity which was performed is ‘Tug of War’ and ‘Playing with Football’. The main objective of this activity is to teach children about the ‘characteristics of force’ ‘how the force can be applied’ and ‘what are the effects of force’.

Children have enjoyed this play-way method of learning and understand the concept of force.

CLASS ACTIVITY MIXED FOR – VII 2019

“Single Pain can save many lives”

Today, Poster Making Activity was conducted in class VII. The topic for Poster making was “BLOOD DONATION”. The activity was conducted in accordance to their chapter ‘Circulatory System’. The objective of this activity was to teach the children about the importance of ‘blood donation’.

Children have learnt that by donating blood many lives can be saved. The have pledged that they’ll encourage people for blood donation and will spread awareness about the importance of this noble work.

EXCURSION TO REGIONAL SCIENCE CENTER 2019

“The Science of today is the technology of Tomorrow.”

The students from classes III to X of Excellia School went to regional science center on 24th of September. They had a wonderful experience. They were shown various scientific wonders of the world under one roof. In which class IIIrd – Vth were shown one of the best discoveries in our scientific world i.e. the Robots. A demonstration was given to them showing how robots work and how they are assembled. Not only they experienced the creation of robots but also understood the advantages of healthy food and disadvantages of unhealthy food which was explained to them in the environment section. Our senior students from class VI – X received a wider knowledge from the Robotics Section as they were not only demonstrated about the assemblance of Robots but also in real practiced how it’s performed. They got to receive a whole lot of knowledge on robots. It was a very inspiring visit for our aspiring scientists and brought knowledge to all our kids.

GREEN DAY CELEBRATION 2019

“Green – The colour of prosperity and harmony.”

Green day is celebrated in an instructive way where children learn about importance of green colour and positive effects it has in our lives in Excellia School on 20th September i.e. Friday. The pre-primary students came to school dressed in pretty green attires and looked eco-friendly. The students were taught the identification and recognition of green fruits, vegetables, leaves and trees. The toddlers also went to field for plantation accompanied by their teachers. Green day was a practical learning experience and was very enjoyable.

FIT INDIA MOVEMENT PROGRAMME SHOWCASED IN EXCELLIA SCHOOL

The National Sports Day in India is commended on 29th August every year. This day denotes the birthday of Dhyan Chand, the hockey player who won gold decorations in Olympics for India in the years 1928, 1934 and 1936. He scored more than 400 objectives in his vocation, from 1926 to 1948. Excellia School showcased the Live Telecast of the Programme of Fit India Movement. The colourful programme depicted martial art skills of various states all across India. The performers showcased folk dances from the states of India. The conclusion ceremony was done by the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who first applauded the entire programme in the way it was put up. He also advised that only fit people could lead to fit nation.

1st Excellia Football Cup – Excellia School

Excellia School organized the 1st Excellia Football Cup Under – 19 Boys in the school. The three day championship began on 17th May 2019 and concluded on 19th May 2019 at the school’s Milkha Singh Ground. Marking the presence as the guest in chief was the School Chairman Mr. D S Pathak along with Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak. Mr. D S Pathak gave the inaugural kick to flag off the tournament sprawling green ground and optimal wind flow made favorable conditions for the tournament. DPS Eldeco and Dragon Football Club were the opponents playing in the finals and gave a tough competition to each other. Dragon FC team won the match against DPS Eldeco by 1 goal.

The Winners were felicitated by the Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak with prize amount of Rs 10,000/- along with Trophy and Medals. The Runner-up team was felicitated with Runner-up trophy and Medals with prize amount of Rs 7000/-.

Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation Activity 2019

The young Excellians took part in a rally and signature campaign today as on 04/05/2019 in order to create awareness of the importance of voting as a part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activity organized by the district administration.

The students appealed to the residents of the Omaxe Society to ensure that they cast their vote in the Lok Sabha elections. “The objective of conducting the rally was to achieve 100% polling in our district”.

Carrying placards and raising slogans on the importance of voting the students carried out the rally inside the omaxe premises.

The Most Innovative CBSE School for Quality Education in Lucknow

Excellia School added another feather to it’s hat by bagging the award for being   The  Most Innovative CBSE School for Quality Education in Lucknow . The award that given by   APS  Research & Process Evaluate on 18th January 2019 in Goa. The award was presented by veteran actor Govinda  to the recipients Director Mr. Asheesh  Pathak  and Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan.

Fun Times (Pre-Primary)

It is important that learning is presented to every child in an enjoyable and fun way. There should be a variety of fun activities through which children absorb information easily. We at Excellia just aim to do that. Fun time section consists of fun activities and demonstrates that learning can be as easy as play. The objective of these activities is to develop enthusiasm in the mind of the learner, while instilling a love for learning in
the pre-school and elementary school children.

There are number of such fun activities such as:-
Free play – This includes playing with toys and clay swing time, as they are definitely fun for the entire class, and it is a part of happy childhood. This not only incorporates ways and methods to improve Kid’s creativity, but also improves awareness and motor skills.

Animated Movies and Storytelling for Kids-
This not only improves and increases the vocabulary but also naturally builds up their fluency.

Pool Party – One can’t have more fun than playing with water on a hot day in a splash pool! Our school splash pool is a great place to lounge in and escape the heat .These water play activities in young children strengthens motor skills and builds balance.Thus there are many such fun time activities based on age, interest and skill of the child , whether it is learning of new craft, or learning to read and write or learning new skills.

Excellia School witnessed inter house Skit Competition from Classes IVth to IXth on 19th January, 2019. The members of all the four houses presented awe-inspiring themes and scintillating performances. The students gave tough competition to their competitors. Judges also had hard time to decide the winning team and pronounce the winners. It was a fun filled time for all the students when they poured in their hard work in their performances.

“Every child is an artist, keeping this in mind and to explore the creative potential in the young minds of our children Excellia hosted venue for the Drawing Competition on 28.11.2018 with the theme ‘Cultural The diversity of India’ sponsored by Faber Castell. The children showcased their creative skills in Drawing and coloring. This fun-filled activity witnessed an enthusiastic participation by all students of Grade I to IX.

“Dance is the Hidden language of the soul.” Folk Dancing is a
wonderful way to introduce young children to the world’s rich diversity. To spread the message of socialism and showcase the hidden talents, the young children of Excellia took part in an Inter-school Folk Dance competition held on 1 st December 2018. The students wore colorful ethnic attires and showed their talents with their excellent performance. The audience was enthralled with their expressions and moves. The students of excellian won the 1 st position and it was indeed a spectacular show and also a memorable one too.

Excellia School proudly rendered its campus to host the
preliminary round of 24th Yuva Mahotsav organized under
Lucknow Mahotsav on 17th November 2018. Participants from
all over Lucknow swarmed in to showcase their dancing skills.
Each one danced on foot tapping numbers and presented their
best performances. There were various categories of dance like
Folk, Filmy, Duet, Remix and Trio, and each participant
presented a scintillating dance performance on the same. The
judge Ms. Nivedita Banerjee & Guest of honor Mr. Mayank
Ranjan, Mr. Asheesh Pathak, Ms. Shalini Pathak, and Ms. Sonia
Vardhan appreciated all the participants who showcased their
hidden talent in a spectacular way.
