FREE ONLINE YOGA AND MEDITATION CAMP
When the world is struggling hard with the pandemic around and the people bit apprehensive about the future, Yoga seems to bring a ray of hope for the troubled minds. With this insight, the Excellia School conducted a free online Yoga and Meditation Camp to create awareness among its students along with their parents. The Camp was initiated with a touch of care and concern for them. It was facilitated by Ms Divya Tripathi who is a Certified Yoga Trainer and also a Faculty at Excellia School. The attendees enthusiastically participated in the Camp. They thoroughly enjoyed doing Yoga with the beats of music. The Camp had the flavor of fun with glimpses of some useful lifestyle tips to improve immunity. The students were given tips to improve their memory and retention skills. Some important asanas were also demonstrated which meant to increase the lung capacity, controlled heart rate, and improved vision. Pranayama meant to relax the chattering mind were also taught. The parents indeed appreciated the event with the hope of such more camps to be held in the future.
GKEBA – Para Badminton Player Selected for Tokyo Paralympics
Excellia School hold itself proud to have Gaurav Khanna Excellia Badminton Academy as an integral part of the school infrastructure as the academy provides a platform to a host of para badminton players to represent India at the international platform including Tokyo Paralympics. Women’s pair of Parul Parmar and Palak Kohli became the first Indian para shuttlers to qualify for Tokyo Paralympics with Palak being the youngest in the world to qualify at the age of 18. They have been inherent part of the academy with dedicated practices and showcasing extreme perseverance . Excellia School Director Mr Asheesh Pathak congratulated Mr Gaurav Khanna for being a devoted coach to all the players practising and willing to represent the nation on the international platform

Online classes do not mar the child’s capability to be the best . And this was proven by the students of Excellia school by bringing their best foot forward and participating enthusiastically in online dance competition which was held on 17th April 2021 . The students dressed at their best danced their way to peppy numbers and the recordings of the same were thus sent to the concerned facilitators . Smt Hemlata Pathak memorial open Lucknow District Badminton Tournament-2021
The 3rd and the final day of Smt Hemlata Pathak memorial open Lucknow District Badminton Tournament -2021 came to its conclusion with terrific high energy performances by the players. Mr. Dharmendra Kumar singh SDM. Lucknow Development Authority graced the event as the chief guest along with Mr. Ram Kumar, Former badminton player and sr. Journalist as guest of honour.
Welcoming the guests for the tournament were Excellia School Chairman Mr D S Pathak , Vice chairperson Mrs .Manju Pathak , Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak , Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan, Mr. Gaurav Khanna, General Manager Mr Shekhar Varshney , Advisor Mr. Praveen Pandey along with school staff.
Arjuna Awardees and world Paralympic champion Ms. Parul Parmar, Laxman Awardee Mr. Abu Hubeida and Mr. Prem Ale also graced the event as special guests. The hosts felicitated the guests with memento and bouquets to honour their coming and gracing the event. The tournament which was organised at Gaurav Khanna Excellia Badminton Academy saw throng of players who were to be felicitated under various categories in which Pawani Kalra and Naman Ladkani bagged men’s and women’s singles title respectively. Pawani clinched the title,beating Sonia rajpoot 15-5,15-6 while Naman beat Shrestha Verma 15-4,12-15,15-12. It was a triple delight for Pawni as she went on to win U-17 mixed doubles and U-19 singles titles. In the women’s doubles final, Abhipsa Mishra and Venya Singh defeated Aarti Singh and Nikita 9-15,15-14,15-10 for the title.
Saraswati Puja celebration at Excellia School
16th Feb 2021 saw an illuminating morning in the premises of Excellia School with beginning the school functionalities by Saraswati Vandana to seek blessings of Goddess Saraswati to mark Basant Panchami in school . The staff all decked up in yellow attires offered prayers to the Goddess to seek her blessings. The students of class X also offered their prayers to seek enlightened future and good results. The day was filled with positivity and vibrance .
Republic Day Celebration at Excellia School
The auspicious morning of 26th Jan, when the entire nation was celebrating Republic Day, Excellia School also celebrated the propitious day in the school premises. The Principal, teachers and the students didn’t want to leave any stone and unturned in making this monumental day a memorable one. To grace the event as special guests, paralympic badminton players, and Arjuna Awardees Ms. Parul Parmar ,Mr. Rajkumar ,Mr Manoj sarkar , Mr. Pramod Bhagat, Ms. Palak Kohli,Mr.Nilesh Gaikwada,Mr.Prem Kumar Ale, Mr.Abhijeet Sakhuja, Mr. Sukant Kadam, Mr.Krishna Nagar, Mr Abu Hubaida And Mr. Chirag. The chairman Mr. D.S. Pathak along with international Paralympic player Ms.Amu Mohan Unfurled the tricolor of the nation. were present. The chairman of the school Mr .D.S .Pathak was the chief guest. He was warmly welcomed by the whole staff led by Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak and Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan . The students from class IX onwards were then taken for a march past post under under strict COVID-19 preventive norms which was succeeded by a patriotic song presented melodiously by the students. After the song presentation the Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak presented his speech and cited out the importance of the day. The day concluded colourfully post chairman Mr. D.S. Pathak unfurling the flag followed by national anthem. The students left on a happy note by eating the sweets to close the day sweetly while rest of the students virtually marked their presence to witness the great day.
CONTINUOUS EFFORT-NOT STRENGTH OR INTELLIGENCE IS THE KEY TO UNLOCKING OUR POTENTIAL
It is an Honour to share that Mr. Abu Hubaida, who is currently at the 18th rank in the world and at the 16th position in the Tokyo paralympic has added one more feather in his cap by receiving the “Lakshman Award” by our honorable chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Aditya Nath.
His remarkable achievement was celebrated at Gaurav Khanna Excellia Badminton Academy (GKEBA) in Excellia School where all the players congratulated him and that became an inspiration for everyone, that no factor can affect the zeal of person towards any interest if you have firm determination in you for it.
It is highly appreciable that Mr. Abu Hubaida has changed his challenge into strengthening his conviction. The parabatminton tournament held in brazil made him come out in flying colours by winning the silver medal in mixed double 2020. Also, he received the silver medal in the para-badminton championship held in Thailand, 2019, and the para-badminton championship held in Dubai, 2018. There is many more achievement which are there which has added on to the glory of his hard work.
He has proved well that inclusion is within everyone’s ability. It is very inspiring to see his high spirits and his devotion to his interest. As overcoming or escaping from any fear is to trample it beneath your feet.
Science Activity Conducted For Class V
The Students of class V A presented a project on ‘Artificial Satellites” under the guidance of their science teacher. They exhibited their oratory skills by speaking on satellites like – Bhaskara I, INSAT 2E, INSAT 4E, Chandrayaan I and Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM). The students of class V A, under the leadership of Ananya Rashmi and Divyanshi Singh explored the facts on the satellites with great zeal. The young learners thoroughly enjoyed the activity with a vision to explore something more in space.
Excellia’s Shuttlemasters
The 3 day staff badminton tournament “Excellia’s Shuttlemasters” saw a zealful conclusion on 31stDec’20 with some of the nail biting matches and nerve wrenching twists. The ceremony started with acknowledging and expressing gratitude to Mrs. Gaurav Khanna, Dronacharya Awardee and Head National Coach, proceeded by introduction of the Paralympic players who represent the Nation in World Championships. The event then started with Semifinals match paving way for the final match between facilitators Ms.Divya Tripathi and Mr.Akash Singh with Ms.Tripathi bagging the Championships Trophy. The enthusiastic event came to its conclusion with Director Mr.Asheesh Pathak & Mrs. Shalini Pathak, General Manager Mr.Shekhar Varshney, Principal Mrs.Sonia Vardhan and Advisor Mr.Praveen Pandey cheering up the participants and felicitating the winners.
Excellia’s Shuttle masters – at Gaurav Khanna Excellia Badminton Academy
The 3 day staff tournament namely Excellia’s Shuttle masters flagged off today i.e 29/12/20(Tuesday) at Gaurav Khanna Excellia Badminton Academy which saw an active participation of the staff members who enthusiastically played the heats today.
UTOPIA-Painting Competition
Excellia school abiding by CBSE’s guidelines organized a drawing competition titled UTOPIA-Thematic Painting under different age groups starting from class VI onwards. The students of class VI to VIII shared beautiful pictures virtually on the topic of 21st century challenges. The students from IX onwards showed their creative best on the topic emotional safety for all children. Each picture depicted a deeper realm of life and was portrayed picturesquely.
Practice Session at Gaurav Khanna Excellia Badminton Academy
Badminton, just like any other physical sport, is extremely strenuous on the body. In badminton, nearly every part of our body is completely engaged at all times. At Gaurav Khanna Excellia Badminton Academy, the Para and abled body players did some warm-up exercises before the starting of the session. They did various stretches like wrist rolls, rotator cuff stretch, forward lungs, alphabetical ankle and toe touches.
The players had a wonderful experience. The exercises were of great help in relaxing their bodies.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas
World unity day is celebrated every year to pay tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birth anniversary. As a tribute to the iron man of India, the students of Excellia School participated in poster-making activity on the theme of Rashtriya Ekta. Our students marked this day by making colourful posters on “Unity in India”. Children presented their creative talents in art by making use of poster colours.They prepared various posters depicting the beauty of India and the people. They made use of different colours giving the posters a very colorful effect. The efforts of the children were highly admired by the parents and the teachers as well.
WORLD UNITY DAY 2020
World Unity Day is celebrated every year to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. As a tribute to the iron man of India,the students of Excellia School participated in poster making and Slogan Writing Activity on the theme of Rashtriya Ekta. The virtual oath taking ceremony was also done wherein the students took the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and to ensure personal contribution towards unification of the nation in their own personal way.
Refurbing Multi-Utility Hall at Excellia School
The emotions soared high at Excellia School when the renovation finally paued way to handing over Smt. Hemlata Pathak Memorial Hall on 21-10-2020 i.e. Wednesday to para badminton athletes and abled people. Puja was organized at the hall by Chairman Mr. D.S Pathak, Vice Chairperson Mrs. Manju Pathak, Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak and his wife Mrs. Shalini Pathak along with other members of the school management committee. The event was specifically heart – wrenching as the hall has been rendered as a tribute to the chairman’s wife late Mrs. Hemlata Pathak so that there can be a place wherein para and abled athletes can practice and be future ready for international platform.

INAUGURATION OF THE CRICKET ACADEMY AT EXCELLIA SCHOOL

Playing sports and engaging in sports activities is an integral part of school curriculum. It amalgamates physical health with mental health. Keeping up with time of complete holistic development, children of Excellia School have been making endeavours to make this a reality for a very long time now. The school boasts best of sports equipments,vast playing fields , specialised coaches to hone the skill of its students and well balanced physical education periods during school hours. On 15thOctober, 2020, the school added yet another feather to its cap of achievements by inaugurating the, “ Abhijeet Sinha Cricket Academy” which is among Uttar Pradesh’s top professional Cricket Academy. The academy has opened its second branch in joint venture with Excellia School. To mark the inauguration of the cricket academy established name from the field of cricket graced the occasion namely, Mr. Abhijeet Sinha (Director A.S.C.A) who felicitated the Director of Excellia School, Mr. Asheesh Pathak and Mr. Mohd. Rafi Rana who is the captain of the North Zone, Vizzy Trophy Team 2020 .
Mr. Abhijeet Sinha’s work has been highly appreciated in the field of cricket as one of his students Akshdeep Nath was selected in IPL 2019 in Royal challengers Bangalore for Rs. 3.65 Crores. The inauguration ceremony was held at Excellia School Ground.
With the opening of this academy the school aims to sharpen the skills of its students who show an inclination towards sports.
Ascending Order Activity – Class KG
The students of KG-A and KG-B were taken out for the outside Learning Area session i.e. learning beyond the classroom for the concept of Ascending order activity which was conducted on 05-02-2020 (Wednesday) at Excellia School. The objective of the activity was to imbibe experiential learning for concrete concepts. The students thoroughly enjoyed the concept and were able to comprehend the same.
TABLE MANNERS – Class Activity (Nur)
No matter where you are at home, work or with friends practicing good manners is important. Table Manners are the rules of etiquette used while eating. The students of Nursery class participated in Dining Etiquette activity at school on 20.08.19 i.e.
Tuesday, where the children practiced correct table setting procedures and etiquette skills that are used during meals. The teachers told the students about various skills to be followed while eating, such as not to talk while eating, holding a fork and
spoon in the correct hands, use of Table Mats and Napkins. This fun-filled activity
really helped the children to learn the basic etiquettes which they enjoyed wholeheartedly.
SCIENCE GROUP ACTIVITY
“Success is a science; if you have the conditions, you get the result.”
Keeping this quote in mind, a group activity is conducted in class VII and VIII. Children participated in the activity with all their efforts, to showcase their knowledge and have presented their modals and charts as a prop. Children enjoyed the review questions and tried to put their best.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT EXCELLIA SCHOOL
The great dream of our freedom fighters, nationalists and revolutionaries was realized on 15th August 1947. It was an epoch making event of great significance which ushered in an era of liberty, self rule and prosperity of our nation. It is a day to remember our bygone patriots who laid down their lives for the freedom of our motherland. Excellia School celebrated Independence Day with great zest and zeal. The sense of patriotism could be seen on everyone’s face. The Celebration began with the showcasing of a documentary movie on Uri: The Surgical Strikes. The students were awestruck post movie screening. Post the movie screening, the programme proceeded forth with the presentation of speech by one of the students followed by patriotic poem and melodious song presentation by the students. The students of Pre-Primary wing prepared tri-coloured bands and also brought tricoloured luncheons to mark the celebrations. The Director Mr. Asheesh Pathak gave a motivating speech to the students highlighting the importance of the day. The students keenly listened to the words presented by him. The conclusion of the celebrations was done by the unfurling of the tricolor by the Principle Mrs. Sonia Vardhan. The students called it a day by receiving sweets and left for home satiated.
CELLPHONE ETIQUETTE – Class Activity (Nur)
Cell phones are great as they keep us in touch with friends and family and can be lifesavers in an emergency. So keeping this in mind, our little Excellians of class Nursery conducted an activity based on telephone etiquettes at Excellia School on 6-8-19 i.e. Tuesday in which they learned that they should be polite and soft on the telephone and they also learned that how they should introduce themselves to the person on the phone. The activity ended with great fun and excitement.
PLANTATION DRIVE
“Trees represent beautiful and resilient life. Trees symbolize an exquisite nature at its best”
If we imagine a world without trees, life is impossible. They are true friends of humanity. Therefore we should save trees and honor them in order to save the environment and life. A tree plantation drive was observed at Excellia School on 9th August 2019. The main aim of this drive was to spread and create awareness to protect the environment from degrading. The plantation started with an influential speech on the effects of trees in our lives. The students planted saplings on the school campus. The Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan ensured that each sapling was planted carefully and would we nurtured tenderly.
