Excellia School hosted Smt. AD Pathak Memorial Open Excellia Chess Championship in its school premises opening of which was on 21^st April 2018. The two day championship was inaugurated by Mr. D.S. Pathak, the school chairman by paying tribute to Late Smt. A.D Pathak in whose name the championship has been dedicated. The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chairman Mr D.S Pathak, The Director Mr. Ashish Pathak & Mrs. Shalini Pathak and the Principal Mrs. Sonia Vardhan which was succeeded by Rishika Bhattacharya and Shradha Yadav making the first moves to flag off the event. The event saw a throng of parents with enthusiastic participants settling to start with their games.
