Among the very important literary skills, debating is a great way of improving students’ abstract thinking, research, reasoning, and even public speaking skills. It develops the personality, ethics and integrity of students.
Using debates in the classroom can help students demonstrate critical thinking and develop presentation skills.
Considering the importance of it, Excellia School organised an ‘Inter House Debate Competition’ activity on 23rd December 2024. It was well planned and executed by Anvit Kaundal ( Class 8th), the student- in-charge, with his team members : Abhinav Mishra and Arhan Sheikh of class 8th. They worked under the expertise and guidance of Ms Rachana Shukla Tripathi , the teacher in-charge.
The students of classes 7th to 9th participated in this activity quite enthusiastically. Students’ analytical prowess, confidence and debating skills were judged by honourable Mr.S.K. Mishra, Ms. Roli Pandey and Mr. Praveen Pandey . They appreciated and motivated the participants and encouraged them to participate various literary activities in time to come.
