National Mathematics Day

National Mathematics Day is celebrated on December 22 every year in India. The day marks the birth anniversary of mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The day was announced by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on February 26, 2012, at Madras University, to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Ramanujan.
Excellia School celebrated the day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The students commenced the program by citing the importance of the day. Mr. Manoj Singh, senior Maths facilitator was the convenor of the event and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Director EMCC  Mrs Shalini Pathak, Principal Mrs Priyanka Dubey, and Inspection Head Mrs Roli Pandey for their gracious presence. The entire program was telecasted live through smart class technology in each and every class. Aarna Singh of grade VII presented a biography of Srinivasa Ramanujan in which a dance performance was presented by the students that left the students asking for more. Akshat Singh of Grade X and Snigdha Khare of Grade XII presented a wonderful speech in which they spoke about the History of Mathematics. Poorvi of Grade VIII unveiled the History of Quadratic Equations. Srishti Mishra of Grade IX, Prisha Singh of Grade XI, Ishan Pratap Singh of Grade XI, and Dimpal Yadav of Grade IX gave demonstrations on various Mathematical Concepts. Shikhar of Grade XI did a wonderful comparing of the entire program. Ms. Roli Pandey educated the students about the life history of Srinivas Ramanujan and gave a beautiful presentation on Math Magic. The Director Mrs. Shalini Pathak and Principal Mrs. Priyanka Dubey congratulated the Mathematics faculty for the smooth and flawless conduction of the program. Mr Manoj Singh concluded the event by presenting the Vote of Thanks.
